Steve Baxter played varsity basketball his junior and senior years and was chosen All Tournament as a senior. He played varsity baseball his junior and senior years and was selected as All District and District Leading Hitter as a senior. Craig Glickman, a close friend, says that Steve will never mention it, but “As far as I can remember, Steve still maintains the Richardson High School batting record of .517 after 45 years!”
Steve was involved in Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes in his junior and senior years. He was chosen to the Superintendent’s Council as a senior.
Steve has worked in the real estate business in Texas ever since 1977. He is the owner of Oakwood Property Company.

Steve has told them what he would like to be said about himself by his kids and his students: “I really knew that Cat Daddy (Steve’s nickname) loved me and cared deeply about me.”

Brennan Baxter, Andrew Baxter’s older brother, was also a successful basketball player. Steve cherished Brennan’s success just as well and has had many happy times watching both of his sons’ successes on and off the Pearce High School basketball court.
Andrew Baxter always enjoyed Young Life in high school. The group met once a week, went on summer camps, and encouraged its students in their Christian walk. But BUCS was like Young Life at the next level, fellowship for university students eager to combine their college experience with their Christian walk.
Andrew is thankful for the successes of high school, appreciative of his popularity socially and accomplishments athletically.
